Orangatang Kegel 80mm – Performance longboard wheels (Orange, 80A)

The Orangatang Kegel 80mm are high-quality longboard wheels for high speeds, downhill, racing and carving. Designed for a comfortable ride, grip and controllable slides, the Kegel shape combines high stability with a large contact patch and a robust core.

1. Size: 80 mm diameter – higher rolling speed and better ability to roll over uneven surfaces.

2. Width: 56 mm – a balanced combination of grip and slide capability.

3. Contact patch: 56 mm – plenty of grip for high speeds and precise control.

4. Durometers (hardness): 77A (Blue), 80A (Orange), 83A (Purple) – the orange version is 80A and offers a compromise between grip and ease of sliding.

5. Shape / Lip: Sharp lips with a skin – for maximum traction when carving and downhill riding.

6. Bearing seat: Offset – optimised for grip with a slightly wider riding platform.

7. Urethane formula: “Happy Thane” – known for smooth slides, good responsiveness and vibration-damping properties.

8. Core: High-strength, heat-resistant urethane core (stably constructed for aggressive manoeuvres).

9. Weight: Approx. 230 g per wheel (approx. 8.2 oz / wheel).

10. Scope of delivery: Set of 4 wheels (without bearings, unless otherwise stated).

Who are they suitable for?

Riders looking for higher speeds, maximum rolling performance and secure grip when carving or downhill riding, while also retaining the option of controlled slides. Well suited to race, carving and travel/cruising setups.

Notes

• The offset core allows a slightly wider riding platform; it is not centreset, so the wheels are not intended to be regularly turned around.

• Hardness has a significant effect on grip and slide behaviour – 80A is a balanced all-rounder.

• Bearings & spacers are usually not included and must be selected separately if required.
