Loaded Dervish Longboard
With a lower center of gravity and a torsionally stiff design, the Dervishes are built to hold an edge and maximize energy return. A drop-thru carver designed to work with most reverse kingpin geometry trucks and 70mm+ wheels. The dropthru design allows for easierpushing, more stability at speed, and easier sliding. It has a small flat nose and tail for manual and shovit tricks.
The Dervish was designed and intended for speeds between 0 and 30 mph (0-50km/hr). You can take the board faster with skill andexperience, but it is not intended for higher speeds due to its flex characteristics.
The Dervish is available in two flexes:
Flex 1: | 170-230+lbs / 77-105+kg |
Flex 2: | 100-185+lbs / 45-85+kg |
Keep in mind that a softer flex pattern will give you more control and tighter turns at slower speeds and make it easier to slide, but tends to lose stability slightly at higher speeds. Stiffer flex means more energy potential, more stability at higher speeds, and makes air moves easier, but will not be as forgiving and lively when cruising.
Trucks:
We've designed the drop-thru to accommodate the Randal R-II, Paris, Bear,
and Tracker Fastrack Longboard Trucks. All reverse-kingpin trucks work well on this board, but we recommend using at least a 180mm wide truck.
Wheels:
Be sure to find a wheel appropriate for your riding style and desired speed.
We've designed this board for a 70mm+ wheel. Our current top recommendations for this board are the 75mm Orangatang In Heats or 70mm
, but don’t be afraid to explore other options.
Bearings:
: These are fast and durable, although there are many great bearings and we particularly recommend Jehus and SKF for best performance.
Additional Setup:
Play around with kingpin tightness to adjust the looseness of the trucks. There are a lot of new bushings coming to market and they can make a huge difference in the ride. Try changing the ride-height of your board if you want a different feeling as well. Placing (cut to size) riser pads, or Khiro rail wedges between the top of the deck and the truck baseplate will lower the board even further. Go out and experiment.
